DB Lampman
Bush Terminal Piers Park Entrance at 1st Ave & 43rd St

Performance:
We Carry the Water Within Us is a performance art piece by DB Lampman taking place at Bush Terminal Piers Park at 4PM on Saturday, October 17.

The performance features a sculptural costume consisting of multiple branching arms that extend outward and are assembled and worn by the artist on the pier. The piece speaks to the relationship between our bodies and environment, and the labor required to cultivate land, goods, and products for human use, particularly as it relates to New York Harbor and its waterways.

About DB Lampman:
My creative practice centers on sculpture, performance, and wearable forms that explore the relationship between the body, movement, and the natural world. I create sculptural works that move and interact with the world in unexpected ways, often crossing boundaries between object, costume, installation, and performance.

Rather than functioning as static objects, many of my sculptures are designed to respond to gravity, tension, balance, or motion, creating a dynamic relationship between the wearer, the object, and the surrounding environment.
